 फिलीपींस ने ब्रह्मोस मिसाइल के लिए किया 37.5 करोड़ डॉलर का सौदा

ब्रह्मोस एयरोस्पेस प्राइवेट लिमिटेड (बीएपीएल) और फ़िलीपींस के बीच ब्रह्मोस सुपरसोनिक क्रूज़ मिसाइल के लिए 37.5 करोड़ डॉलर का सौदा हुआ है.

शुक्रवार को बीएपीएल और फ़िलीपींस के रक्षा विभाग के बीच अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए. न्यूज़ एजेंसी एएनआई के मुताबिक़, इस मौके पर ब्रह्मोस के सीईओ अतुल डी राणे, डिप्टी सीईओ संजीव जोशी, लेफ़्टिनेंट कर्नल आर नेगी और प्रवीण पाठक मौज़ूद रहे.

बता दें कि ब्रह्मोस मिसाइल के लिए ये पहला विदेशी ऑर्डर है. फ़िलीपींस के रक्षा मंत्री डेलफ़िन लोरेंज़ाना की ओर से 31 दिसंबर को एक नोटिस जारी किया गया था. इस नोटिस में ब्रह्मोस एरोस्पेस प्राइवेट लिमिटेड से सौदे की जानकारी दी गई थी.

ब्रह्मोस में क्या है ख़ास?

ब्रह्मोस मिसाइल को दुनिया की सबसे तेज़ सुपरसोनिक मिसाइलों में गिना जाता है. ये भारत और रूस के संयुक्त उपक्रम में तैयार किया गया है. इसे जल, थल और वायु से छोड़ा जा सकता है. इस क्षमता को ट्रायड कहा जाता है.

ट्रायड की विश्वसनीय क्षमता भारत के पहले सिर्फ़ अमरीका, रूस और सीमित रूप से फ्रांस के पास मौजूद है.इस मिसाइल की रफ़्तार 2.8 मैक (ध्वनि की रफ़्तार के बराबर) है. इस मिसाइल की रेंज 290 किलोमीटर है और ये 300 किलोग्राम भारी युद्धक सामग्री ले जा सकती है.
