इथियोपिया में फ़िरौती के लिए अगवा किए गए छह भारतीय नागरिक रिहा

इथियोपिया में अपहरणकर्ताओं ने फिरौती के लिए अगवा किए गए छह भारतीय नागरिकों को रिहा कर दिया है.

इन भारतीय नागरिकों और उनके अनुवादकों को राजधानी अदीस अबाबा से तीस मील दूर एक छोटे कस्बे में रखा गया था.

बता दें कि इस महीने की शुरुआत में एक सीमेंट फ़ैक्टरी के खनन स्थल से 27 लोगों को अगवा किया गया था जिसमें से छह भारतीय नागरिक थे.

स्थानीय मीडिया के मुताबिक़, अपहरणकर्ताओं ने 27 में से 18 लोगों को बीती दस मार्च को रिहा कर दिया था.

इसके बाद छह भारतीय नागरिकों और उनके तीन अनुवादकों को हथियारबंद अपहरणकर्ताओं ने बंदी बनाकर रखा था और इन्हें छोड़ने के लिए 4.8 लाख अमेरिकी डॉलर की फिरौती की मांग की थी.

क्षेत्रीय प्रशासक गिरमा वायेस्सा ने बीबीसी को बताया है कि इन लोगों को छुड़ा लिया गया है.

हालांकि, उन्होंने इस बारे में ज़्यादा जानकारी नहीं दी है.

उन्होंने कहा है कि वह इस क्षेत्र में इस तरह की घटनाओं में कमी लाने के लिए सुरक्षाबलों और समुदाय के साथ काम कर रहे थे.

इथियोपियाई सरकार अक्सर इस तरह के हमलों के लिए हथियारबंद विद्रोही समूह ओरोमो लिबरेशन आर्मी को ज़िम्मेदार ठहराती है.

हालांकि, ओएलए अक्सर इन घटनाओं को अंजाम देने से जुड़े आरोपों का खंडन करता रहा है.
